REALSTAR HOSPITALITY HAS EXPANDED ITS PORTFOLIO

Realstar Hospitality, franchisor of Days Inn, Motel 6 and Studio 6 brands in Canada, has expanded its portfolio
with the opening of its latest newly constructed franchised property in northwestern Ontario, Days Inn – Sioux Lookout.

A first for the brand in Canada, the hotel rooms are constructed using prefabricated modular units based on steel shipping containers. The completed design uses 120 containers that were retrofitted into bedrooms, shipped by truck and simply interconnected onsite. Once assembled, this 60 room shipping container-based modular hotel is virtually indistinguishable from a conventional site-constructed building.
