New Quiznos poll finds most Canadians will pronounce “Gyro” like “Jai-Ro”

How Canadians Pronounce Gyro May Surprise You
Quiznos found in a recent national, Twitter-based poll of 3,471 Canadians that the most popular pronunciation of Gyro is “jai-ro,” as indicated by 48 per cent of respondents. “Yeer-oh” ranked second in the poll at 25 per cent, while 17 per cent say “gee-ro” and nine per cent use “hee-ro.”
