Pita Pit Canada Partners with Breakfast Club of Canada for Holiday Gift Card Charity Campaign

Pita Pit Canada will launch a new national partnership this holiday season with Breakfast Club of Canada, the non-profit organization that builds awareness and raises funds to support childhood development and provide access to a healthy morning meal in communities across Canada. Through the partnership, Pita Pit Canada will donate $1 to Breakfast Club of Canada for every gift card purchased during the month of December.

“We are so fortunate this holiday season to be able to give back through a truly impactful organization like Breakfast Club of Canada,” said Pita Pit Canada President Kevin Pressburger. “Proper nutrition is critical for children to focus. When they don’t have access to healthy food choices, they can come to school upset, unable to concentrate and even angry. Breakfast Club of Canada helps to provide them with a good meal that helps them to be all they can be, and we are truly grateful to be a partner in that mission.”

According to recent research, one in five children in Canada is at risk of going to school on an empty stomach. Breakfast Club of Canada helps to ensure that more children have access to a quality meal to start the day so they are ready to learn and succeed.

Pita Pit’s partnership with Breakfast Club of Canada will help support existing school breakfast programs while also building awareness around the Club’s mission and helping to establish new programs in areas of critical need. Pita Pit customers can also support their local Breakfast Club in each province by volunteering to serve breakfast or by helping to pack breakfast bags for delivery to nearby schools.

Pita Pit locations nationwide will participate in the program throughout the holiday season. Gift cards purchased throughout the month will include a sticker notifying the recipient that the donation has been made to Breakfast Club of Canada and all proceeds from the campaign will stay within the local community where the gift card was purchased. If there is no breakfast program in the community, the funds will remain within the region or province.
