Jimmy John’s pilots Picklewich, breadless sandwich, at Picklefest Toronto

 

Fan-favourite U.S. menu item makes its Canadian debut Sept. 20–21 in Toronto

 

 

Jimmy John’s is giving Canadians their first taste of the Picklewich, a sandwich that swaps bread for a giant dill pickle, at Picklefest Toronto, September 20 – 21. The Picklewich will be available exclusively at the Jimmy John’s tent at Henderson Brewing Co., 128A Sterling Rd., Toronto, Ontario.

 

Guests can choose between the Vito Picklewich and the Turkey Picklewich, both of which replace traditional bread with a large dill pickle. This is the first opportunity for Canadians to try the Picklewich. The Picklewich first debuted at Jimmy John’s locations in the US as a limited time offering in 2024.

 

“Picklewich is not just a tasty sandwich – it’s the perfect symbol of a movement,” said Kim Slongo, Director of Operations at Foodtastic, the company behind Jimmy John’s expansion in Canada. “When you scratch beyond the surface, you will see that millions of Canadians love foods that are brined. Picklefest is Canada’s first and largest food & drink festival focused on everything pickled and fermented. More than 50 vendors are expected at the festival, which features pickle-infused food, drinks, and family-friendly fun (kids under 12 attend free), rain or shine.
