Hand & Stone Accelerates Franchise Development in Canada

Leading luxury massage and facial spa concept, Hand & Stone, is accelerating its franchise development efforts throughout Canada with plans to open three new locations in Alberta and Ontario before the end of the year. The brand, which entered the Canadian market in 2008, currently has 33 spas throughout the country and is eyeing regions like Southwestern Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia for future expansion.

“There is significant growth opportunity for Hand & Stone in Canada, driven by high consumer demand for self-care and wellness services like the ones we offer,” said Anita Wells, SVP and Division General Manager in Canada. “Our existing Canadian locations have performed exceptionally well thanks to our proven business model and outstanding franchisees like Julie Geng, Josh and Christina Murray, and Walter Cheung to name a few. We’re excited to welcome more Canadian franchisees to our system and grow our footprint throughout the country.”

Hand & Stone achieved notable success in Canada in 2021, opening its first-ever spa in Halifax, Nova Scotia in November. The company is leveraging this momentum into 2022 and is seeking qualified franchisee candidates interested in being part of the brand’s ongoing Canadian growth.

Since its inception in 2004, Hand & Stone has become a leading massage and facial services concept and has grown to more than 500 spas across 35 U.S. states and Canada. The brand offers an array of high-quality professional massage services and best-in-class skincare treatments, all with a variety of enhancements.
