Doughbox celebrates the opening of its Woodbridge location with a ‘Pizza 500’ event in support of Shining Through Centre for Children with Autism

Doughbox Woodbridge celebrated yesterday its grand opening with its signature Pizza 500 Community Event. Five hundred customers enjoyed a 2-topping pizza for $3 with 100% of proceeds going to support Shining Through Centre, a recognized leader in the field of autism. The celebration included a ribbon cutting and cheque presentation of $1,500 donated to the centre.

“Opening our Woodbridge location has been a tremendous milestone for us, and we couldn’t be happier with the community’s warm welcome,” says Taimour Sultan, owner of the Woodbridge Doughbox franchise.  “Our recent Pizza 500 event was a resounding success, raising $1,500 for Shining Through Centre to support children with autism. We’re grateful for the opportunity to give back and make a difference.”

The donation will be directed towards supporting the centre in its mission to enhance the lives of those impacted by autism through compassionate, evidence-based services.

Doughbox, the wood-fired pizza and pasta specialists, opened its Woodbridge location on May 31st. Located at 8470 Hwy 27, Unit 1, at the intersection of Highway 27 and Langstaff Rd., the restaurant features an open concept kitchen, dine-in seating for up to 48-50 people and a menu that includes homemade, hand-tossed pastas, wood-fired pizzas and wings, fresh salad bowls and desserts.
