Lice Squad Opens Lice Removal Clinic in Calgary on Head Lice Awareness Day

Lice Squad.com has opened its 1st corporate Lice Removal clinic in the province of Alberta, making this the 16th Lice Squad.com clinic scheduled to open in Canada in 2017. The new clinic opened for business on Sept 17th which coincided with National Head Lice Awareness Day. The clinic offered free head lice checks all day to parents and families on a first come first service basis. The full-service lice removal clinic opened just in time for the busy back to school head lice season, says Dawn Mucci, CEO and Founder of Lice Squad.com.

“We are here to provide a much-needed service to this community. Our mission is to change the way people treat head lice and to meet a universal demand for head lice help by delivering environmentally friendly superior products and services. Our vision is to dispel the stigma associated with head lice and to stop the over use and abuse of pesticides on children and our environment.”

Lice Squad.com providers are highly skilled lice removal consultants trained in Lice Squad’s specialized TLC (Technical Lice Certification) system. This includes being insured, police screened and using proprietary eco-friendly products, tools and techniques that are fast, safe and effective.

This year alone, up to 2.4 million Canadian children and their caregivers may get head lice, making head lice removal a service in demand. A recent study in the Journal of Medical Entomology reports that 97.1% of head lice have developed a gene mutation making them resistant to insecticides.

Lice Squad.com has been the go-to source for non-toxic head lice removal, screening and education for over sixteen years. With the expansion into Calgary, Lice Squad now boasts thirteen franchise locations and provides service to more than 35 communities across Canada. The Calgary franchise market is wide open and Lice Squad.com seeks business minded individuals who wish to make a difference in their communities. Lice Squad.com’s Franchise Division is positioned for growth with expansion plans for more than 50 locations in Canada over the next five years.
